Riding Lessons
Juniper Meadow Ranch, LLC, specializes in building confidence for the rider. Our lesson packages include safety, proper seat, and stress communicaton and understanding between horse and rider.
Theresa has over 25 years of experience teaching, has been certified by the American Riding Instructors association , and has teaching methods which have helped hundreds of students succeed.
Lessons are on your horse only. We have discontinued lessons on our school horses due to the cost of maintaining them in the present economy.

Theresas' training techniques are not only taught to the horse, but instruction is given to the owner/rider so that they can excel with their own horse. The horses are brought along with a methodology which builds on itself and has proven successful in the show ring and on the trails as well. The training is not limited to Tennessee Walking Horses. Theresa specializes in engagement of the horse, so no matter the breed or use, your horse will have training and a foundation that will last you a lifetime of joy.
Disciplines: Tennessee Walking Horses, Trail riding, Lower level dressage, western and english flatwork, lower level jumping.
Fees: Training fees including full care board and four lessons $695.00/month
Our program includes five days of work (average ) with your horse . We limit the horses in training so that each horse gets no less than 1 hour per day by Theresa (not an apprentice trainer). It also includes one lesson per week for the owner to learn how to work with the horse. The program places a strong emphasis on ground work, proper self carriage, engagement, and discipline.
The process begins with a $40.00 evaluation, that if you choose to put your horse in training with us, goes as a credit towards the first month. At this time we will evaluate the horse, the owner, and create a custom training program for the team with expected outcomes. The evaluation will also consider the horse health, conformation, disposition, and will help you determine how to proceed.
The next step of the process will be to meet the pre training needs such as specific farrier, chiropractic or veterinary care. This is best done at home in most cases, allowing your horse to recover without paying for training time during the recovery.
Finally, your horse comes into the program. The program will be clearly outlined prior to entry so you know what to expect. If there are any glitches in the training process, you --the owner -- are notified and an agreeable plan is established.
