Theresa has successfully owned and run two large equine facilities over the past 30 years. She can help you develop your horse business in all perspectives, from running the equine business, feed management, equine management when care custody and control are your responsibility, or as simple as back yard horse management. Her plans are inclusive for YOUR operation, and she will help develop a plan for success.
BREEDING CONSULTING
She has been a breeding consultant in the NW assisting clients in breeding of paints, quarterhorses, warmbloods (for dressage and jumping) . She has been very active in developing and maintaing a high standard of breeding of Natural Tennessee Walking Horses, evident by the consistent regional year end Championships and Res Championship Awards give to her offspring and blood lines. She understands breeding and mechanics of the horse, and is able to help combine the 'best of the best' for a superior end product.
Her consulting for other breeds has resulted in development of horses such as "Walkabout" 2006 - Oregon Dressage Society Sr Training Level Champion, scoring an 80%! 2003 - US Dressage Federation All-Breeds Awards - AWS 2nd Place 3 year old colts and geldings. AWS National Inspection Gold Medalist - 3 year old stallions. 2004 - US Dressage Federation All-Breeds Awards - AWS - 1st Place mature stallions, 1st place 4 & 5 year old stallions and geldings.
CONSULTING FOR APPRAISAL
Theresa is a certified equine appraiser through the American Society of Equine Appraisers and does Equine Appraising through out Oregon by appointment only.
CONSULTING FOR GENERAL HORSE ISSUES: Gait, Soundness, Behavior, Tack .
She has been a farrier, and equine mechanics specilist , with a strong veterinary background. This makes her exceptionally qualified to review the horse as a whole, and trouble shoot problems which may cause behavioral , soundness or gaiting issues.
She is not a veterinarian, but will recommend veterinary care if that is what is required to acheive the best results with your horse. .
