Juniper Meadow Ranch added Murray Grey cattle when we moved off the big ranch in Oregon. Why Murrays some ask
- Disposition is the first and foremost of importance in managing a small herd.
- Marbeling and Tenderness is superior to other breeds, and especially breeds in the "compact cow" category.
- Compact cows tend to mature earlier, meaning we raise our beef over 20 months, on grass and still get that juicy, tender, marbled beef.
Because our new farm is very small acreage, we strive for quality, not quantity and this breed fits the bill exceptionally well.
